Ah, yes, the evil boss. It's surprising how many times I've had to do this same thing. I'm ok with it as my boss has no clue what to put or what some of the categories mean and would just make things worse.
Absolutely. I went through this the other day except she was much more probing and made it pretty obvious that she was clueless. Also, she kept asking "How much stuff do you do in a month?" I kept trying to tell her that I don't know. I never think like that. I guess I should have said, "I do about 6 comics a month and three blog entries a week."
Try not to break down your hourly rate against the hours you actually work. "Well, if I calculate my salary against the six hours of actual work a month.. I'm paid $85 an hour! I'm rich!"
They never give you a raise if you do that. It took me a while to figure that out. (The bastards)
My boss doesn't look like Cthulu, though. He could use some tentacles to improve his chances with the ladies.
Ok, that sounds dirty, I didn't mean it like that but I refuse to delete it.
